DISNEYLAND
Disneyland is every child’s dream place, even adults too! Everybody wants to visit this magical place, where you can find some of Disney’s famous characters, Disney princesses and memorable scenes from Disney movies right before your eyes. The feeling of having to walk and scroll around the magical place brings so much childhood joy and memories.
Very well rated as the best theme park in the world by many industry magazines, the crowning achievement of the oriental land company — The Tokyo Disneyland. Tokyo Disneyland is so huge, very big that it is made up of seven themed lands and features seasonal decorations and parades.
First up is the World Bazaar, from the world itself “bazaar”, it is the part of Disneyland wherein you can find the shopping stalls and restaurants lined up. It serves as the park’s main shopping area where people can shop some pieces to take home to have a remembrance of the fun times they have during their Disneyland trip.
Next up is Tomorrowland — the theme here is outer space and techno-looking. It is the home of popular attractions such as Buzz Lightyear’s Astroblasters, Space Rider, Monster Inc., Baymax and many more!
The third themed land is Toontown. This is everyone’s favorite because this is where you can see the Disney characters live, work and play. Another reason why everyone loves it is because it lets tourists meet Mickey and Minnie at their houses, and it also has a rollercoaster ride that is safe for kids. How fun is that!
The fourth one is absolutely every princess’s dream, Fantasyland. This is the place where you can see the iconic Disney Princess’ castles as well as each character. Your fantasy comes alive in this place.
The fifth themed land is the Critter Country where you can find the popular Splash Mountain log ride, as well as guided canoe tours on the Rivers of America.
The next one is the home of the popular rollercoaster ride, the Big Thunder Mountain which is found in the Westerland themed area in the park.
The last themed land is Adventureland. It includes a lot of adventurous attractions that boost up your adventure spirit. Here, you can join a jungle cruise, exploring through the wild forest or ride through the river.
Tokyo Disneyland is a five minute walk from JR Maihama Station. It can also be reached in a few steps from the Tokyo Disneyland Station along the Disney Resort Monorail.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
One of the first theme parks under the Universal Studio brand to be built in Asia is the Universal Studio Japan. It was opened in March 2001 at the Osaka Bay area, occupying an area of 39 hectares and is the most visited amusement park in Japan after Tokyo Disneyland.
Just like Tokyo Disneyland, Universal Studios also has different kinds of themes. It is divided into 10 sections all in all which are Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Jurassic Park, Waterworld, Amity Village, Universal Wonderland, Minion Park, the wizarding world of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World. Tourists and visitors ranging from child-friendly carousels to thrilling roller coaster rides for adults will surely be able to enjoy many of the amusement rides. The theme park also offers a lot of opportunities to take a photo with some of the well known childhood characters’ mascots such as Hello Kitty, Snoopy and the likes. There is a lot of various events that takes place in the park everyday, which includes a night parade, a paraded illuminated floats through the streets.
The amusement park would never be complete without a shopping mall or stalls to buy something that would let tourists and visitors remember their trip to Universal Studios. Just right outside the park you are then welcomed by the Universal Citywalk Osaka with multiple hotels, restaurants and shops selling Universal merchandise and souvenirs.
