Literally known and translated as “Memory Lane” but it is commonly known and  referred as “Piss Alley”. This place is well-known for its tiny bars/restaurants, ramen shops, open barbecue food stalls and all other types of traditional eateries in Japan. Most of the buildings here are old and mostly run down but despite all of that this area has survived all through these years while keeping a lot of its authenticity and traditional way of serving foods and drinks – way back when this area had just started as a huge black market that is located around Shinjuku Station. Quite fitting for it’s name “Memory lane” to remember and yearn for Japan’s old era.
