Shiori house

It's a one-minute walk from the bus stop, a 13-minute walk from Kyoto Station, and a 6-minute walk from Kujo Subway Station. You'll find Shiori just off the main street. We've paid attention to the interior design and lighting to create a distinctly Japanese atmosphere, which we're sure will evoke a sense of nostalgia in both our international and domestic guests. Upon entering the entrance hall, you'll be greeted by a Kyushu Arita ware vase and a painting on washi paper depicting the Kyoto Jidai Matsuri (Festival of Ages). In the first Japanese-style room, you'll find the uchikake (wedding kimono) worn by a bride, and in the next room, we've prepared a chic table and chairs for those unfamiliar with Japan. The walls are adorned with illustrations from The Tale of Genji and adorable Shichigosan obi (sashes worn for the Shichigosan festival), adding a gentle touch of Japanese style. Turning your gaze to the next room, three baby raccoons will seem to be calling out to you from the small garden, their mischievous eyes seemingly saying, "We're here!" The bathtub is made of Shigaraki ware, and it's spacious enough for family or friends to enjoy comfortably. You can even see the tanuki statues from earlier through the glass door of the washroom! After a refreshing bath, the stairs leading to the bedroom on the second floor are also full of Kyoto-esque charm! Wrap yourself in a handmade futon crafted by artisans and enjoy a restful sleep.
